Puncak Lima Jari

A hill called Puncak Lima Jari, can be an alternative picnic place to spend the weekend. Puncak Lima Jari is new spot tourism in Kabupaten Bone.

Puncak Lima Jari is located in Mico Hamlet, Padaelo Village, Ponre District, Bone Regency, South Sulawesi. The distance is about 5 kilometers from Watampone City.

This peak with an altitude of approximately 500 meters above sea level (MDPL), initially only an ordinary hill. However, after being processed and decorated by a group of young people in this village, this peak finally became an extraordinary destination and was visited by teenagers and parents.

One of the young men met by Ardi (27) said, since 2017, this place was almost always visited by visitors. Especially if it's a holiday like Sunday.

"Almost every day visitors are crowded every afternoon, even many who spend the night setting up tents at night," Ardi said on Sunday (7/15/2018).

Puncak Lima Jari many places have been provided to be photographed spots, for example Five Fingers made from tree roots, butterflies, huts on bridge trees, and also swings from wood roots.
Even now, the managers of Puncak Lima Jari have prepared live music, so visitors can enjoy the panoramic views and acoustic music.

"We are trying to have electricity in Puncak Lima Jari, well even though we currently only use generator sets, but this has been enjoyed by visitors," he added.

To climb Puncak Lima Jari visitors only pay a fee of IDR 5,000 per adult person. While for small children it's free. The funds collected from these visitors are used to re-manage Puncak Lima Jari and complete the facilities, to attract the attention of the visitors.  There is no permanent car parking or motorbike. Visitor just parking their car/motorbike in the left or right side of the road.


If you reach the top, you will see spectacular view.  There are a lot of spot to get picture.  The most favorite is lima jari (means five finger).  Local people said this tourism area is “Obyek Wisata Petta Makkita Walie).  But most popular name is Puncak Lima Jari.
